Unscrewed IM pin and removed, some bony fragments evident arond fracture site on xray. Slight head tremor Head/mouth/beak: NSF Ears: NSF Eyes: OU: Reduced PLRs. NSF Wings: R humerus fx Legs: R/L ventral soft tissue wounds. Minor puncture wound on R leg. Scabbed puncture wound on L ventral femur. Feet: NSF Body: Puncture wounds on left back and right keel. Bruising and swelling on R pectoral. Radiographic findings: R Humeral crest fractured. Shoulder joint still in socket. Initial treatment: Cleaned all soft tissue wounds w/ chlorohex and plucked feathers. Applied dermagel to large L back and R keel puncture wound and covered w/ telfa/tegaderm. 0.15 cc Torb; 0.75 tablet Clavamox; 0.50 cc Meloxicam; 0.15 cc Baytril; 30 cc LRS SQ. A: Patient suffering from R humerus fx that is close to shoulder. Also has multiple puncture wounds and bruising/swelling around keel and back. Guarded prognosis as fracture site is at humeral crest and has small amount of bone for possible pinning. Will need to consult w/ vet and schedule possible pinning surgery. P: Rx Baytril, Clavamox, Meloxicam, pentox, tramadol and fluids. Replaced R figure8/body band E3D. Replaced L back and R keel bandages SID. SF in AM; HF in PM if DNE starting 4/7. Vet check 4/8. Collect blood and fecal 4/5. Monitor mentation. Monitor bandages. Monitor soft tissue wounds along both femurs and L shoulder. Monitor bruising/swelling over R keel.
